Electronics distributor NewPower Worldwide has expanded its committed credit facility to $750 million, the Nashua, New Hampshire-based company announced. The move boosts its capacity to invest in inventory, support customer growth, and seize opportunities across the global electronics supply chain following a period of exceptional growth.
The expanded credit facility strengthens NewPower Worldwide’s ability to purchase semiconductor components, passive parts, and interconnect products in larger volumes. For PCB assemblers and OEM buyers, this signals improved component availability and potentially shorter lead times as distributors hold deeper buffer stock. The distributor has been scaling rapidly, with the increased financing enabling more aggressive inventory positions in high-demand categories such as microcontrollers, analog ICs, and power management devices.
The expansion comes as global electronics supply chains remain sensitive to demand swings in automotive, AI, and industrial segments. Distributors with larger credit lines can respond faster to allocation shortages and price fluctuations. For downstream PCB manufacturing and SMT assembly, a well-funded distributor network helps mitigate risks of line-down situations caused by component scarcity. NewPower Worldwide’s move reflects broader confidence in continued electronics demand through 2025.
