TSMC July Revenue Surges 44.7% to Record NT$467.58bn

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) reported July revenue of NT$467.58 billion, a 44.7% year-over-year surge and a new monthly record, as insatiable demand for AI chips continues to strain advanced node capacity. The figure surpassed June’s previous record of NT$442.68 billion by 5.6%.

The July results extend TSMC’s rapid growth trajectory, driven by robust orders for 3nm and 5nm chips used in AI accelerators, data center processors, and high-performance computing. With major customers like NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel ramping up next-gen products, TSMC’s advanced packaging capacity, including CoWoS, is sold out through 2025. This revenue milestone underscores the semiconductor industry’s structural shift toward AI-centric architectures, pushing foundry utilization rates near 100% for leading-edge nodes. Industry analysts note that over 50% of TSMC’s revenue now comes from high-performance computing, overtaking smartphone chips.
